Fall Alert Your Guide to Medical Alerts

Fall alert systems and different levels of service

by admin on September 27, 2011

As you already know, there are a lot of different fall alert devices and services out there. Some are newer, not as established, and other companies sell just the equipment with no monitoring service backing it. Let’s assume you are looking for the best medical alert systems that are monitored by a UL listed monitoring center. There are a couple different levels of service to consider. You’ll have to think about your needs and what fits them best… First off, some of the biggest companies only provide a "full service" system. They will send out a technician to your house to plug it in and walk you through how to use it. These services usually cost around $40.00 to $60.00 per month and may have added installation fees. If you are looking to save some money, a lot of the more competitively priced fall alert companies will ship your system to you and let you plug it in. Most seniors are able to plug this in on their own… its an easy plug in situation and it usually takes about 5 or 10 minutes. These companies are just as reliable as the biggest companies, and they provide great customer service. You could even save more than $15.00 per month by finding a great competitively priced service – and $15.00 per month means a lot to most seniors that I know!
